According to Assam Chief Minister, the Shraddha Walkar murder case contains elements of love jihad.

There is a love jihad component, it has to do with my daughter's security, and it has to do with the safety of women, Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

The Mehrauli homicide, according to Himanta Biswa Sarma, has a "element of love jihad," and in addition to roads and electricity, security of daughters is a poll issue. In response to a query on why he brought up the Shraddha Walkar murder case during the election campaign and demanded strict legislation to stop "love jihad," Mr. Sarma responded on Thursday that the issue related to women's safety and also has a "element of love jihad."

"Shraddha was taken to Delhi by Aaftab for the wedding. The security of women, the security of my daughter, and the presence of love jihad are all related to what happened when he cut her body into 35 pieces and placed it in the refrigerator before bringing another woman into the same room ".

Aaftab Amin Poonawala is accused of killing Walkar (27) and sawing her body into 35 pieces, which he allegedly kept in a 300-liter refrigerator at his home in Mehrauli, south Delhi, for almost three weeks before dumping them all over the city over several days after midnight. In May, Walkar apparently died.

Leftist historians, according to Mr. Sarma, have betrayed the nation. He claimed that historians of India sought to present a "bigger picture" of Aurangzeb in comparison to other Indian kings. The Assam chief minister, who has participated in the Gujarat Assembly elections, defended his comments equating Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, with the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. He claimed that while the pitch was elsewhere, the Congress leader was batting in the pavilion while wearing gloves and padding.

He claimed that while the Congress ran for office in Gujarat, Gandhi was participating in the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh with Medha Patkar.
