The MBoSE has announced that students who were unable to sit for their board test earlier this week due to severe weather and subsequent landslips would be permitted to sit for their examinations. This is fantastic news for students in Meghalaya who lost out on their examination due to bad weather.
Because of the landslides, many pupils, particularly those from remote areas, were unable to reach their exam centers.
As a result, these pupils have been granted permission to sit for re-examination following the board exams, according to a government official.
According to reports, as many as 27 SSLC and three HSSLC students from the Pynursla district were unable to present for their April 4 exams. At the time of filing this report, the process of gathering data on the number of students that skipped their exam in the Sohra area was still underway.
Meanwhile, the HSSLC examination, which was originally planned for April 11th 2022, has been rescheduled until April 14th, 2022 by MBOSE. The examination date has been changed due to Shad Suk Mynsiem, which has been declared a holiday in the state’s East Khasi Hills district.
However, the MBoSE has refuted claims made by several SSLC applicants that the Social Science paper had questions not covered by the syllabus.
According to the MBoSE official, it was incorrect to state that questions were out of syllabus because only the question structure had changed from the previous year and students were given a lot of flexibility in selecting and answering questions.
