Meteorologists Expect More Spell Of Rain in Meghalaya And Parts Of The Northeast

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Meghalaya is projected to experience additional inclement weather until May 19. Shillong state between May 15-17, and heavy rainfall on May 18 and 19″

“Moisture incursion is very likely to occur due to strong lower level Southerly/South-westerly winds from the Bay of Bengal to Northeast India during 4-5 days,” the IMD said in a news statement issued here on Sunday.

However, there will be isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam-Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim over the next 5 days. During the 15th-17th May, Meghalaya had isolated extremely heavy rains. During the 15th to 17th of May, isolated heavy rains fell across Mizoram and Tripura.
