ONGC Helicopter made emergency landing in Arabian Sea; Six rescued so far

A Tuesday afternoon emergency landing in the Arabian Sea by an ONGC helicopter carrying nine persons—seven passengers and two pilots—resulted in the rescue of six people. According to reports, the helicopter was forced to land using the floaters attached to such helicopters that transport people and supplies to shore.

Rescue operations are under way, the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) said in a tweet.

The events leading up to the emergency landing were not immediately apparent. We also awaited more information.
