Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived for the G20 Summit in Rome. Mario Draghi, the Italian Prime Minister, welcomed him. Climate change, the Covid-19 economic rebound, and the global minimum corporate tax rate were all on the agenda during the first in-person meeting since the coronavirus outbreak which is to be held on Saturday.
Following his first-ever one-on-one meeting with Pope Francis, Prime Minister Modi arrived at the summit location. The meeting took place when the Prime Minister arrived in Vatican City for the G20 Summit on Saturday, as part of his Rome visit. “Had a very nice meeting with Pope Francis,” Modi remarked after the meeting. I got the opportunity to speak with him on a variety of topics, and I also offered him to visit India.”
Meanwhile, the prime minister shared a photograph from the G20 summit on Twitter. Other foreign leaders seen with Modi include German Chancellor Angela Merkel, US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, among others.
