Yesterday in Ahmedabad, at the GMDC Ground, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, attended the Navratri Festival.
The Gujarat Governor, Shri Acharya Devvrat, and Gujarat Chief Minister, Shri Bhupendra Patel, accompanied the Prime Minister when he arrived at the location. Together with the Governor, the Chief Minister, and the thousands of worshipers present, the Prime Minister performed Maha Aarti for Maa Amba.
The Prime Minister, who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat, attended a number of events yesterday, inaugurated/dedicated/laid foundation stones in Surat and Bhavnagar, and participated in other activities. Additionally, he opened the National Games 2022 in Ahmedabad yesterday.
The Prime Minister will visit another place of worship today in Ambaji, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. The Prime Minister will dedicate numerous national development projects totaling more than Rs. 7200 crores and lay the cornerstone for them in Ambaji. Over 45,000 homes constructed under the PM Awas Yojana will have their foundation stones dedicated and laid by the prime minister.
The PRASAD scheme’s building of pilgrimage facilities at the Ambaji temple and the Taranga Hill – Ambaji – Abu Road New Broad Gauge Line will both have the Prime Minister lay the foundation stone. Millions of pilgrims will use the new train route to travel to Ambaji, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, and it will improve their worship experiences there as well.
