According to a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Thursday, Queen Elizabeth II’s doctors are “concerned” for her health and have advised that she “stay under medical monitoring.”
Since October of last year, Queen Elizabeth II has struggled with health issues that make it difficult for her to stand or walk.
The announcement comes a day after the 96-year-old queen called off a Privy Council meeting. According to the royal residence, the queen is still in Scotland’s Balmoral Castle, where she has spent the summer.
