Samsung's New Dropship Software Enables Cross-Platform File Sharing

Samsung, the South Korean electronics giant, has released a new file-sharing programme that allows users to move information between various devices.

Dropship, according to GSM Arena, is now available only to South Korean users via the Galaxy Store.

Dropship users can distribute up to 5GB of files every day by uploading them from the host device and then producing a QR code that others can scan to obtain the file.

The file sender must have an Android 13 handset running OneUI 5 - now a Galaxy S22 series exclusive - as well as a Samsung account.

The recipient does not need the app or a registered Samsung account to scan the QR code, which instantly initiates the file download.

Meanwhile, during a recent meeting with component suppliers, Samsung's mobile communications arm, Mobile Experience (MX), discussed a variety of topics, including its foldable smartphone plan.

Aside from that, Samsung expects a compound annual growth rate of up to 80%, according to a report by TheElec, according to GSM Arena.

The company acknowledged considerable demand for its folding phones in its native market and revealed that South Korean iPhone users in their twenties and thirties are moving to Samsung foldables at a far faster rate than previously - reportedly three to four times faster than in prior years.
