Watch: Smriti Irani was caught unawares today in a Delhi-Guwahati flight when questioned about Rising Prices

Union Minister, Smriti Irani was caught off guard in a Delhi-Guwahati flight when questioned about the rise in fuel prices. Her interrogator, Netta D’Souza, is the acting chief of Congress women’s wing.

The minister is also shown to be recording the encounter using her cell phone in the video posted by Ms. D’Souza on Twitter.
In the caption of her tweet, she included a link to a video and wrote that when she asked the minister about the rising prices of LPG, she blamed vaccines and even the poor people.

Ms. Irani commented that the Congress leader was standing in the way, who then noted that “everyone is looking for gas and stoves without gas.” The Minister said not to lie and expressed their discontent with the situation.

The price of petrol has been hiked 115 times in the past two weeks, increasing the price by 10 rupees a litre each time. There has been no hike in the last two days.

Despite the spike in crude oil prices, fuel rates have remained unchanged for over four months. The opposition has claimed that this is a poll tactic of the BJP
