‘Two types of people leave Congress, ‘Himanta Biswa Sarma is of the second kind’ says Ramesh
Congress MP Jairam Ramesh stated on Thursday that there are only two categories of people who leave the Congress when referring to the eight MLAs in Goa who left the party. He went on to explain that the first category consists of those who have received everything from the party.
Jairam Ramesh cited Ghulam Nabi Azad, a former chief minister of J&K, as an illustration “People who have benefited from the party are included in the first category. Example of this is Ghulam Nabi Azad. He received everything from the party, including the positions of president of the Youth Congress, PCC president, minister in the Union Cabinet, general secretary, etc. The only people who would abandon the party are those who have benefited from the Congress.”
“The people at risk from investigating agencies are the second type. They’re going to join the BJP. They will become pure as soon as they join the BJP. Consider the chief minister of Assam as a prime example. There isn’t a single case against him. However, the BJP used to harass him every day when he was a member of the Congress. Since he was elected chief minister, the BJP has been entirely silent “said Jairam Ramesh. According to the Congress MP, the Goa MLAs who defected also belonged to this second type.
“These eight MLAs were placed in the BJP washing machine. They are some of the most corrupt people I have ever met “declared Jairam Ramesh.
