The Human Rights Activist Teesta Setalvad has been taken into custody on Saturday 25 June, in connection with a case on her NGO by the Gujarat ATS team. Earlier, she has been taken to the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat for a medical checkup.
While she was out of the hospital she confessed to the media about the bruised she gets during the detained by ATS, “They have done my medical. I have a big bruise on my hand, this is what the ATS did to me. They are taking me to the magistrate’s court,” said Teesta Setalvad.

After a day of her detained, Gujarat ATS handed her over to the Ahmedabad crime branch in connection with a fresh case of alleged forgery, criminal conspiracy, and insulting criminal proceedings to cause injury registered against her.
