On Friday, three schoolgirls were murdered and one was critically injured in an accident on the Ayodhya-Lucknow highway when a speeding truck collided with a divider and overturned.
The four girls were on their way to school when they were hit by the truck, and three of them died on the spot. One girl was taken to the hospital after suffering significant injuries.
Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has given a payout of Rs 2 lakh for each of the deceased girls’ families and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
The Chief Minister has urged officials to assist the victims and their families in whatever way possible.
