Sniffer dog for the CISF Rani left her position after nine years of service with a big farewell at Chennai airport. Rani, the CISF sniffer dog, was given a magnificent send-off, complete with a red carpet and rose petals.
The Labrador was honoured for its service during a ceremony in which CISF and airport authority workers pushed a decorated open Bolero car with the dog sitting on a red carpet over a plank. Officials can be seen dropping flower petals on the adorned dog, who is seeing the event.

In a traditional “pulling out” ceremony, personnel from the CISF and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) pulled a decorated jeep over a red carpet.
Airport director Sharad Kumar claimed that among the officers who pulled the ropes were
“The dog is also a CISF officer. When dogs retire, they usually get the ceremony.” He asserted that, for the most part, the dog would remain with the handler and not be put to work.
