An incident involving what they think to be a meteorite has left their roof damaged, according to a family in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh. According to Sunil Gupta, an Inayat Ganj resident in Pilibhit, the iron net and a nearby wall were damaged by the meteorite that fell on Monday night.
Gupta claims that the object made a loud bang as it landed on the roof, and the damage was discovered during an inspection the next morning. The family was also shocked to discover a huge stone-like object laying on the roof; they claim it was still hot when they discovered it. The unidentified object, according to local media accounts, weights about 14 kilogrammes.
