S Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, stated that the government will not rest until all Indian citizens have returned home safely from the war-torn country.
Meanwhile, according to S. Jaishankar, the eighth flight of Operation Ganga departs Budapest for New Delhi this morning.
Mr.Arindam Bagchi Spoke person of MEA stated that almost 8,000 Indians have fled Ukraine since the MEA issued its first warning before Russia launched its attack on the east European country, and that 1,396 students have arrived in India via six evacuation planes under “Operation Ganga.”
Students and their parents need not be concerned about flight availability, according to the MEA. “Flights are not a stumbling block. Please do not be concerned. We will ensure that you have more flights once you enter the Ukrainian border. Our main concern is ensuring that Indians may securely pass the Ukraine border “Mr. Bagchi explained.
There is no curfew in Kyiv, the capital city, and people are free to leave, according to a MEA representative. Indians should travel to Kyiv railway station, where they can board a train to the western border. Ukraine’s government is providing free rail service from Kyiv.
