Panchkula police arrested a woman from Sector 17 after registering an FIR against an illegal abortion center on Tuesday and a woman was identified as Sarita Kaushal who runs naturopathy clinic in Sector 17.
On Monday, Panchkula CMO( Chief Medical Officer) received information about a patient reporting to PGIMER (Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research) with multiple organ failures due to infected abortion conducted by the Sarita Kaushal.
Sarita Kaushal, a resident of Sector 11 has been arrested by Panchkula police for practicing illegal abortion. And she happened to be running an NGO for the past five years and also had a naturopathy clinic in Sector 17, ACP( Assistant Commissioner of Police) Aman Kumar, in-charge, Panchkula Crime Branch said.
Police also recovered vials, allopathy medicines, and surgical gloves from her clinic. The accused was produced in a local court and sent to judicial custody.
