Woman forced to deliver baby on hospital floor in Pathankot; ‘most shameless people this universe has ever seen’…
After a lady in Punjab’s Pathankot was allegedly forced to deliver her child on the hospital floor after being turned away from the labor room, the opposition BJP demanded that the AAP administration take bold action against the at-fault officials.
On Thursday, the incident allegedly was captured on film, which has since gone viral online. Shehzad Poonawalla, a leader in the Bhagwant Mann government, shared it on Twitter and criticized “the world-class health model” of the administration, claiming it was spending money on commercials while the state’s poor people were suffering.
In response to a public outcry, Pathankot Deputy Commissioner Harbir Singh said he had sought details about the incident from the civil surgeon, but was “not satisfied”.
Inquiring about the incident, I have contacted the civil surgeon. However, I am unsatisfied with the answers. It is the hospital’s responsibility to take care of a woman who enters the hospital. I have ordered an inquiry, and action will be taken against those found guilty,” Singh said.
‘We are the most shameless creatures the universe has ever seen pity on us. More severe epidemics than covid and tuberculosis are what we deserve’, tweeted Major Pawan Kumar, Shaurya Chakra (Retd) who slammed the administration for such a tragic incident.
