105-yr-old Rambai, Haryana’s Athletic Record-breaker, 100 meter record in 45 seconds
At the first National Open Masters Athletics Championships, which were held by the Athletics Federation of India and ended in Vadodara, 105-year-old Rambai broke the 100-meter record in just 45.40 seconds, defying all expectations.
She beat the previous mark set by 101-year-old Maan Kaur, who rose to popularity after winning the 100-meter gold medal in 74 seconds at the World Masters event.
Rambai from Haryana has broken the 100-meter record with a time of 45.40 seconds.
“My grandma had already won four gold medals in a tournament before this one. She then took part in an event in Maharashtra, where she won five gold medals. Rambai’s granddaughter told ANI that her grandmother received two prizes at Badlapur, Maharashtra.
The centurion is quite picky about what she eats, according to Rambai’s granddaughter Sharmila. She said Rambai eats a lot of ghee and curd every day.
She also consumes a lot of ghee and drinks pure milk twice everyday. She doesn’t consume a lot of rice, Sharmila continued.
