J&K: Terrorists open fire in Srinagar, killing a policeman, injuring two others

Terrorists opened fire on a naka party in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir’s Lal Bazar area on Tuesday, killing one police officer and injuring two others. Police said a cordon had been placed around the area.
Assistant sub-inspector Mushtaq Ahmad of the police was named as the victim. The hospital was providing care for the other two police officers. About 7:15 o’clock, the incident took place.

The Jammu and Kashmir police posted on Twitter, “ASI Mushtaq Ahmad #succumbed to his injuries & attained #martyrdom. We give the martyr a hearty tribute for the tremendous sacrifice he made while performing his official duties. Two more injured employees are receiving medical attention.
