1168 kg ganja worth 3.5 cr seized by Meghalaya police in another massive victory

The Jowai Police discovered 1168.18 KG of ganja worth 3.5 crores from a truck at Mookyndur while it was travelling to Guwahati through Meghalaya in the early hours of Tuesday morning, marking a significant accomplishment for the Meghalaya police.

The Chief Minister’s words of encouragement were acknowledged by Meghalaya’s DGP, Dr. L. R. Bishnoi. Since taking office, DGP Bishnoi has accomplished a remarkable feat by dismantling various illicit networks that had been operating in the state for some time but had gone undiscovered.

However the Meghalaya Police also made an accomplishment when, in two separate searches in the districts of West Garo Hills and East Khashi Hills, they managed to apprehend two people and seize more than 8 gm of heroin from their possession, on Sunday according to officials reported.
