In addition to the 3,800 or so full-time employees and the than 5,000 contract workers, Musk is dismissing anyone who dares to criticise him.
Tech blogger and software developer Gergely Orosz tweeted that 10 or more employees had been let off for criticising Musk internally. Casey Newton of Platformer put the number of those fired closer to 20.

According to Newton, employees claim that over 20 people have reportedly been fired as a result of their Slack posts. Tuesday night, Musk responded: "I apologise for firing these brilliant people. Their extraordinary talent will undoubtedly be very useful elsewhere."
