The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) headquarters’ building site in South Delhi’s Lodhi Colony is where two men are allegedly accused of killing a six-year-old boy on Saturday night in what they claimed was a “sacrifice for prosperity.” Vijay Kumar (19) and Amar Kumar (22), the two defendants, are suspected of slitting the boy’s neck and stabbing him in the skull while high on narcotics, according to the police.
The defendants were cement cutters at the job site and were Bihar natives. At the construction site, where they work as laborers, the youngster resided with his parents. The family, which had just recently arrived in Delhi from Bareilly, UP, claimed that the event happened while they were engaged in Durga Puja celebrations.
“We found that the accused called the child, who knew them, to their shed’s kitchen at 10.30 night and killed him with a weapon,” said DCP (South) Chandan Choudhary.
When the suspects were apprehended, police claimed they were “disoriented” because they had reportedly “consumed smack/ganja.” Later, they purportedly claimed that their goal was to “please” the gods.
According to the boy’s parents, they were searching for their missing son when they discovered blood dripping from the accused house. They rushed inside thinking the accused were killing a fowl but instead saw them shoving their son’s body beneath a bed. They claimed the boy passed away there and then.
Police officers arrived to the scene quickly and detained the two suspects who had already been apprehended by other workers and CRPF officers who were on duty. An investigation is in progress.
