9 Year Old Killed By Father For Not Finding Mobile Phone; UP
After failing to locate his father’s cellphone, a 9-year-old child was allegedly strangled by his inebriated father. The event occurred in Alawalpur Madaiya village, Uttar Pradesh. The victim’s father was detained on Wednesday on suspicion of culpable homicide not amounting to murder after an FIR was filed in the matter.
The victim’s grandfather, Lakhan Singh, filed a police complaint against his son Mukesh Batham on Wednesday, accusing him of killing Mithun his grandson in front of his granddaughter, 4, on Tuesday night, according to the police.
According to the police complaint, Batham returned home on Tuesday night in an inebriated state. He forgot where he had kept his mobile phone and asked his son about it.
Mithun, on the other hand, was unable to locate it, and Batham, enraged, is said to have strangled him to death. Palak, the victim’s younger sister, was present at the terrible murder and began to cry.
Her grandparents arrived after hearing her cries, but Mithun had died and Batham had fled the house at that time.
Batham is an alcoholic, according to Lakhan Singh, and his wife Vijay Kumari left the house eight months ago with four of their six children to move to Punjab because of his bad habits.
Dharmendra Kumar, the Kisni station house officer, said that an FIR has been filed under section 304 of the Indian Penal Code (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and that the culprit has been apprehended.
The body was sent for a post-mortem examination, and more investigation is continuing. (IANS)
