Amjot from Chandigarh receives recognition for a key that deters bike theft
Two schools won the overall best category prize in their respective categories and stages out of the 74 schools that sent 115 exhibits to the exhibition. The GHS in Maloya Colony, Chandigarh, was chosen as the top school overall for the secondary and upper secondary levels. The overall top elementary school was determined to be Tender Heart School in Sector 33-B. The NCERT, Delhi, will receive the exhibits that won each sub-numerous theme's categories and stages so they can compete at the national level. 14 models with demographic and education-related topics were also honoured for their creative approaches in addition to these categories.
Amjot Singh Brar, a student in Class 11 at Guru Nanak Public School in Sector 36-D, won the top honour at the state-level Science, Mathematics, and Environment Exhibition for Children-2022 in the category of transportation and innovation (secondary level).
Sector 37 resident Brar won the prize for creating a cheap key that can be used to stop bike thefts using RFID technology. The prize-distribution ceremony at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Sector 32, brought the exhibition's 50th edition to a close on Thursday.
