Cycling fatality in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, caused by BMW with VIP licence plate

According to police, a BMW automobile allegedly struck a 50-year-old man's sport bicycle on Mahipalpur Flyover in southwest Delhi on Sunday, killing him.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Manoj C reported that the driver of the opulent vehicle has been taken into custody.

According to the DCP, it was discovered during the investigation that the BMW's tyre had burst, which caused the driver to lose control of the car and strike the bicycle.

An earlier report of the collision in the Vasant Kunj neighbourhood was received. According to the senior officer, police were called to the area on the Mahipalpur Flyover heading toward Dhaula Kuan where the BMW car and sport bicycle were discovered parked inadvertently on one side of the street. The injured man was taken to a hospital by the driver of the BMW, but the medics pronounced him dead, according to the police.
