An 11-year-old girl fatally shot dead by a gunman on a moped in New York City

An 11-year-old precious little girl was visiting a nail salon just before 5 p.m. Monday when the shooter opened fire. In which she succumbed to an injury, police said on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as Kyhara Tay, was visiting a nail salon with a friend just before 5 p.m. on Monday when the shooter opened fire, targeting another man at Westchester Avenue and Fox Street in Foxhurst, authorities said.

The innocent girl fatally shot in broad daylight by a gunman on a moped. The suspect targets some other person but the bullet instead passed through the next block and struck the pre-teen in the stomach, cops said.

Witnesses present there at the spot said, Kihara, who was outside New Kim Nails on Fox Street when she was shot, walked into the salon after being shot and passed out. An 18-year-old friend of the victim and eyewitness Lillian Johnson said, “She was right next to me when it happened.”

The 11 year old then rush to the near by hospital Lincoln hospital. Police said the girl was simply standing on the sidewalk with her family.

Preliminary investigation reveals that a male was running out Fox Street, Westchester Avenue, being chased by two people riding a scooter. The man then double back along Fox street towards Westchester Avenue at which point a passenger on the scooter began to shoot at the male. Following in which the little girl hit with the bullet and died.
