A municipal court has ordered Kiran Gosavi, who is being arrested by Pune City Police on charges of cheating, to remain in police custody till November 8, according to news agency ANI. Gosavi is a witness in a drug-on-cruise case involving Aryan Khan, the eldest son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan.
He had already been remanded in jail until November 5. In Aryan Khan’s narcotics case, Gosavi is a significant witness. However, in the year 2018, Gosavi defrauded Chinmay Deshmukh for Rs.18 lakhs by promising him a job. Deshmukh was flown to Malaysia, and according to the complaint (Deshmukh), Gosavi promised him that his tourist visa will be extended once he arrived. However, he had to return to India before his visa expired.
In 2018, Deshmukh filed a complaint against Gosavi, which was followed by a charge sheet. He’s been on the run since then.
