Prior to the movie's worldwide premiere next month, the first trailer for long-awaited James Cameron film Avatar: The Way of Water was unveiled on Wednesday. Over a decade has passed since the first Avatar, and director James Cameron has worked tirelessly to create the ideal sequel. The first movie, Avatar, was out in 2009 and continues to be the all-time highest-grossing picture.

The daughter of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) is introduced in the new, gorgeous trailer, and she confides in him that she feels "her heartbeat," but it's not entirely obvious to whom she is referring. The Pandora animals are then shown in the trailer against a drumming backdrop in a flash of blue. As Neytiri, played by Zoe Saldana, screams, "This is our home," there are images of joy and beauty interwoven with horrors and threats. As Jake makes Neytiri promise that she must remain resilient, the trailer closes on a hopeful note. The emphasis on family and nature is just as high on the messaging as it was in the first movie. We observe several features of Pandora that we had never seen before.

James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water will introduce viewers to new regions of Pandora's globe, and a large portion of it was captured using cutting-edge underwater photography techniques. He simultaneously shot the third movie as well, but the fourth and fifth movies won't start production in earnest until after the success of Avatar 2 and Avatar 3.

In the first Avatar, a group of human invaders entered an alien planet with the intention of robbing it of its riches.

Avatar: The Way of Water stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet. On December 16, the movie will be shown in theatres.
