Actress-singer Jennifer Lopez, 52, and actor Ben Affleck, 49, wed in Las Vegas after nearly 20 years of dating. After a protracted breakup, the two finally resumed their romance last year. Additionally, Jennifer Lopez, better known by her stage name JLo, has changed her name to Jennifer Affleck.
In 2002, the couple got engaged, however, they broke it off a year later. Before getting back together last year and getting engaged in April, they both went their separate ways, married different people, and had children.
Jennifer’s close friend and hairstylist Chris Appletown posted a picture of her bridal ensemble on Instagram. “Last minute feelings before the wedding,” Chris commented with a video he shared of Jennifer spinning in a plain white wedding gown.
Chris can be heard asking Jennifer how she is doing on the video, to which she responds, “I’m feeling amazing.” She says, “I’ve been saving it, saving it, saving it, and now I’m finally wearing it…on my wedding day.” while referring to the dress.
According to a newsletter sent by Jennifer and Ben, the pair got married on Saturday night at a church in Nevada after obtaining a marriage license there, as reported by People Magazine. In the mailing, Jennifer stated, “Love is lovely. Love is nice. Love, it turns out, is a patient thing. twenty years of endurance. What we desired, exactly.” According to The Los Angeles Times, Jennifer called herself “Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.”
According to information about the marriage license released online by the county clerk’s office, Reuters reports that it was received in their names from Clark County and is dated Saturday, July 16. It makes reference to Jennifer Lynn Lopez and Benjamin Geza Affleck by name.
