A Cat's Adventure Ends When Authorities Find It Inside A Luggage Piece At JFK Airport

Authorities at the US's John F. Kennedy International Airport discovered the cat during scanning, ending the cat's adventure after smuggling itself inside a piece of luggage. Additionally, a post about the incident spread like wildfire. Images of the cat hiding inside a suitcase are posted on the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) official Twitter account. 

"We’re letting the cat out of the bag on a hiss-toric find. This CATch had our baggage screening officers @JFKairport saying, “Come on meow”! Feline like you have travel questions, reach out to our furiends @AskTSA. They’re available every day, from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. (ET),” TSA tweeted while sharing three pictures. One of the images shows “X-ray image of cat in a traveler's checked luggage.” 

The tweet has received close to 2,000 likes since it was shared. People have also left a variety of comments in response to the share. Some people questioned how the cat managed to slip into a bag unnoticed, but others shared personal accounts to show that it is possible. 

It's highly likely. I prepared a suitcase for a three-week trip to Norway. Once I had the suitcase secured, loaded, and on the car to the airport, the cat began meowing at me. I had no idea that the cat had snuck inside and hidden under my sweaters. I don't know how she even fits in there," a Twitter user exclaimed. Another person said, "How is this possible? "I'm shocked this doesn't occur more frequently. When I pack, my cats like to cuddle up inside my suitcases. I can understand how you may miss one if you were packed quickly," said a third. A fourth said, "Could have been a CATastrophe."
