Manish Sisodia, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and other individuals were named by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as suspects in the alleged Delhi excise scam case on Friday.
The Indian Penal Code (IPC) has several sections under which the FIR has been filed, including those dealing with “criminal conspiracy, falsification of account, and undue advantage.”
The central agency has recently conducted raids at Sisodia’s home and 20 additional locations throughout Delhi-NCR. Officials searched the deputy CM’s car as well as his home.
The searches, which have been ongoing for more than five hours since the morning, have become the latest point of contention between the AAP and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with both parties making digs at one another.
