CISF suspended a staff who forced to strip an 80 yr old disable Naga woman; Guwahati

A female constable with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been suspended after reportedly strip-searching an 80-year-old wheelchair-bound Naga woman during a security check at Guwahati International Airport on Thursday.

The lady constable has been suspended, according to CISF sources, and an investigation into the event is underway. At the CISF security check at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in Guwahati on Thursday, a CISF woman official allegedly forced Mhalo Kikon to remove all of her clothes, including her underwear and diaper.

In a twitter message, Mhalo Kikon’s daughter, Dolly Kikon, a prominent anthropologist from Nagaland, said that her disabled mother was forced to strip by the CISF at Guwahati airport. According to CISF sources, the female passenger was ordered to remove her clothing from her lower body when the metal detector beeped, suggesting metal on her body.

“Security and dignity of needy pax (passengers) go hand in hand,” the CISF said on Twitter. In conjunction with the regrettable occurrence at Guwahati airport, the CISF has already begun an investigation. The individuals in question have been placed on administrative leave. The passenger was spoken to by CISF Deputy Inspector General (DIG).” tweeted the CISF
