Daughter of Assam reaches back Home: Lovlina Borgohain
The Bronze Medalist in Tokyo Olympics 2020, from Assam, finally reached home on Thursday. Lovlina Borgohain the boxer champion from Assam landed at LGBI Airport Guwahati at around 9.30 am on Thursday.
Lovlina was received by Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Airport.
Apart from CM Sarma, Assam sports minister Bimal Bora and Guwahati police commissioner Harmeet Singh were also present at the airport.
The Capital of Assam is all set to welcome their daughter back home.
Talking to the media on her arrival Lovlina said, “I am not satisfied yet. Had I won the Gold at Tokyo I would have been fully satisfied with my efforts. I will keep up my hard work so that I can achieve gold Gold at the next Olympics.”
The Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) has introduced a customized chartered bus, which will take her to her home town Golaghat.
The ASTC bus holds the picture of Olympic Champion Lovlina as a token of love and gratitude from the people of Assam written: “You are the pride of India”.
Posters and banners of Lovlina Borgohain grace every post and hoarding of the city, the people of Assam are full of enthusiasm to welcome their daughter.
