IMD: State Wise Weather Warning for Next 5 Days Over North East
The Indian Metrological Department has issued a weather warning for the North Eastern Region along with some other parts of the country. At lower tropospheric levels, due to strong southwesterly winds from the Bay of Bengal to northeast & adjoining east India:
Isolated strong to very heavy rain is expected over Assam and Meghalaya from May 13 to 17. On the 12th to 14th of May, isolated extremely heavy rains are also possible over Meghalaya. Isolated strong to very heavy rain is expected over Arunachal Pradesh from May 13 to 17. During the 13th to 17th of May, isolated heavy rains are likely throughout Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
A cyclonic circulation stretches up to 5.8 km above mean sea level over coastal Andhra Pradesh and its environs.
Over Kerala-Mahe & Lakshadweep, widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated thunderstorms/lightning/gusty winds is expected over the next 5 days, with isolated heavy falls over Kerala-Mahe.
On the 13th and 14th of May, isolated heavy rains are expected in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
