After a tragedy transpired in Delhi, Dwarka when a wall collapsed in which a 34-year-old man was killed and two other people were injured on Saturday.
The incident took place at around 2:18 p.m at the DDA flats, Pochanpur, Dwarka Sector-23 B-block, While shoveling the foundation for a house, the wall of an adjoining house collapsed, injuring three people, and the fire officials received information about the incident, adding that three fire-tenders were rushed to the site.
The injured were hurried to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) hospital in a PCR van. However, the 35-year-old man name Jagdish died, and the injured two, identified as Harbai (30) and Pramod (10) were under treatment, the officials said.
According to the police, an unknown caller informed them around 2:18 p.m about the incident and said some people were trapped under the rubble.
Arrived at the site, the police team found a labourer engulfed beneath the fallen wall, a senior police officer said.
State police will take legal action against Virender Singh (50) of Sector-17 Dwarka, the owner of the plot, as well as Mishri Lal Pandit (72) of Vikas Vihar, the contractor for making a horrific disaster in the following incident, police said.
