Despite his enormous popularity and massive fan base throughout the world, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is renowned for being a fiercely private individual. In today’s environment, where cricketers stay in touch with their fans and followers via images, reels, questions & answers sessions, among other things, it is unusual for him to make public appearances or share postings on social media.

VVS Laxman made the infamous claim in 2012 that he was unable to inform Dhoni, who was the captain of India at the time, of his decision to retire because the wicketkeeper-batter didn’t answer his phone. “There is a huge gap between myself and technology. There are several stories about why I don’t answer the phone, Dhoni later clarified this.

It appears that Dhoni is still not a huge user of social media. Social media users are sharing a video of Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Suryakumar Yadav chatting with one another during a live session on Instagram.

It’s interesting to note that Pant supposedly called Dhoni at one point, and Sakshi, the former Indian cricketer’s wife, answered the call.
He did wave goodbye to his former teammates as Sakshi turned the phone towards Dhoni before abruptly terminating the call.

Pant replied, “Bhaiya ko rakho thodi der live par (Keep him online for a while),” as Rohit and Suryakumar started to chuckle about how much Dhoni shies away from the spotlight.

Dhoni couldn’t help but smile when his junior taunted him, and he then turned off the camera.

The Indian cricket team is currently leading the three-match One-Day International series against the West Indies, 2-0. Today in Port of Spain will see the third and final ODI, with the Shikhar Dhawan-led team aiming for a clean sweep.

The two nations will square off in a five-match T20I series following the ODIs.
