During periods, Jaya Bachchan says 'we changed behind bushes' at a podcast called "What The Hell Navya"
The three generations of Bachchans' open, forthright discussions on What The Hell Navya have made it one of the most talked-about podcasts in recent memory.
The cool trio of Nayva, mom Shweta Nanda, and nani Jaya Bachchan discussed menstruation health and period taboo in the most recent edition of Navya Naveli Nanda's podcast, What The Hell Navya. The three generations of Bachchans' open, forthright discussions on What The Hell Navya have made it one of the most talked-about podcasts in recent memory.
In the most recent episode, Biology: Blessed But Biased, Navya invited her mother and grandmother to talk about their first period experiences. You just want to lie in bed and eat carbs and chocolates, and you want to be left alone, Shweta continued. When Navya's nani was working on movies, Navya asked her to talk about her time period experience. When we used to perform outside, we didn't have (vanity) vehicles; you had to change behind bushes. Jaya immediately referred to it as "awful." It was embarrassed, uncomfortable, and unpleasant.
You would also carry plastic bags so you could put them away, collect them in a basket, bring them home, and dispose of them. Navya was further requested to picture their predicament by Jaya since they previously carried four to five sanitary towels. Navya described it as "crazy."
