“Pakistan has a history of supporting terrorist”; Sneha Dubey, India’s First Secretary at UNGA.
On Friday, India exercised its right to respond to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s remarks at the United Nations General Assembly about Kashmir. Imran Khan brought up India’s plan in August 2019 to repeal Article 370, effectively ending the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. The death of pro-Pakistan separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani was also brought up by Prime Minister Khan.
India responded by claiming that Pakistan has a long history of harbouring, helping, and actively supporting terrorists, as well as a policy of doing so.
Sneha Dubey, India’s First Secretary, used strong words to support India’s position and refute Imran Khan’s claims, claiming that Pakistan has the dubious distinction of harbouring the biggest number of terrorists sanctioned by the UN Security Council.
“Osama Bin Laden took refuge in Pakistan. Pakistan’s leadership continues to venerate him as a martyr “On Friday, the First Secretary made a statement. Pakistan, she continued, is an ‘arsonist’ posing as a ‘firefighter.’
According to her, the entire globe has suffered as a result of the country’s actions, which include the breeding of terrorists in its backyard.
The First Secretary went on to say that this was not the first time Pakistan’s leader had taken use of UN platforms to spread false and vicious propaganda against India to divert attention away from their own country’s dire situation.
Sneha Dubey noted that Pakistan has been widely acknowledged as a country that openly supports, trains, finances, and arms terrorists as a matter of state policy. Unlike Pakistan, India has a free press and an independent court that monitors and upholds the country’s constitution, she continued.
