The Farmhouse That Inspired The Film “The Conjuring” Has Sold For More Than Its Asking Price
Have you ever thought about living in a house that has a history of haunting? Well, some people do and it’s chilling to know there is someone present who you can not see or touch but you feel it. If you believe in Supernatural power or at least like to watch horror movies, then you might want to know about the farmhouse which inspired the 2013 movie ” The Conjuring.”
The farmhouse from the early 19th century home is located at 1677 Round Top Road in Burrillville, RI. The sellers, Jenn and Cory Heinzen, purchased the home for $439,000 in 2019. The Rhode Island, a U.S. state in New England, which is known for its sandy shores and seaside Colonial towns, that attracted people to live in there. Therefore, the infamous for inspiring director James Wan’s 2013 supernatural horror film “The Conjuring” farmhouse has sold for $1.525 million, far higher than its $1.2 million asking price. The Colonial-era home sold for 27% over the original price.
However, a Rhode Island farmhouse was not the home featured in the film franchise, but it was the actual home where the Perron family was plagued with paranormal activity in the 1970s.
The film illustrates the account of a Roman Catholic family haunted by supernatural activity in their new Rhode Island dream home. Out of desperation, the couple hires paranormal investigators to help them convince the church that an exorcism must be done to save their family along with the couple Edward and Lorraine.
