Officials reported that a fire that started at Lahorijan in Assam's Karbi Anglong district close to the Nagaland border on Wednesday damaged around 100 homes, but no one was hurt or killed in the event.
They noted that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. "The nearby huts were completely destroyed by the fire. The fires have been put out, according to Karbi Anglong police superintendent Sanjib Kumar Saikia. "Fortunately, no fatalities or injuries have been recorded. The fire's origin is still unknown. We'll look at it," he continued.

In the Lahorijaan neighbourhood in Bokajan in Assam's Karbi Anglong district along the Assam-Nagaland border, a large number of homes and businesses were completely destroyed by the massive fire.

Later, villagers and firefighters were able to maintain control of the situation.
