The second procession of grain ships from Ukraine has arrived in Istanbul. Meanwhile, according to Ukraine’s embassy in Beirut, the first shipment of Ukrainian grain since Russia’s invasion will no longer arrive in the northern Lebanese port city of Tripoli as planned. No other information was given about the postponement.
An embassy spokesperson had been asked about postponed grain arrival in Lebanon, he said, “I don’t have any other information at the moment.”
After the Navi-Star’s arrival, the Malta-flagged ship Rojen, which departed from Ukraine’s Chornomorsk port with 13,000 tons of grain for the UK, also anchored off the north of Istanbul.
The Turkish National Defense Ministry said on Saturday that three grain-loaded ships from Ukraine docked at the Black Sea entrance of Turkey’s Istanbul Strait en route to Ireland.
