Israel has conducted preemptive strikes in Gaza after threats made by Palestinian Jihadists. Isreal just killed Taysir al-Jabari, a senior leader of Islamic Jihad, after bombing Gaza and killing 8. The Israeli military and Palestinian militants in Gaza exchanged more fire on Saturday morning, as the massive conflagration in the strip for a year moved into a second day.
Gulf human rights activist Amjad Taha over the current incident said, “We strongly condemn the Islamic Jihad organization for firing a rocket on Gaza civilians, killing children, in retaliation for Gaza’s refusal to stand by Islamic Jihad.”
One Palestinian was killed in the overnight strikes, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza, bringing the total Palestinian death toll to 11, including a 5-year-old girl, while two Israelis were injured while seeking shelter on Friday.
