On Monday, a five-member Trinamool Congress delegation will travel to Nagaland to speak with the families of people who were erroneously slain by security forces.
Sushmita Deb, Shantanu Sen, Aparupa Poddar, and Prasun Bandopadhyay, four MPs, will lead a five-member delegation to Otin village in Mon district in the morning.
The group will visit the village and interact with the families of the slain and injured, according to party sources. They will also attempt to communicate with the other villages. After returning on Tuesday morning, the team will submit a report to the party.
Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, had previously offered her profound condolences to the dead families. “Disturbing news from #Nagaland. Heartfelt sympathies to the families who have lost loved ones. I wish those who have been injured a fast recovery. In a tweet, the chief minister said, “We must ensure a thorough investigation into the tragedy and that all victims receive justice!”
