The first image in the Instagram video shows Valentn and Varela standing in front of a courthouse while wearing matching white jacket outfits. The remainder of the tape shows the pair enjoying a variety of wonderful moments together, including a video of a romantic marriage proposal made by candlelight and balloon letters that were affixed to a patio door and read, "Marry me?"
In 2019, Varela was crowned Miss Universe Argentina. In that year's Miss Universe pageant, she represented her nation. To compete in the 2019 Miss Universe pageant, Valentn finished in the top three of Puerto Rico's competition. In the next year's Miss Grand International competition, they both placed in the top 10.
