Gunjan Sinha, an eight-year-old from Guwahati, was named the champion of the dancing reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10'. Gunjan and her companion, another juvenile dancer, Tejas Verma, won the trophy and a cheque for Rs 20 lakh. The 10th season of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' debuted on September 3rd, with 15 celebrity participants judged by Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, filmmaker Karan Johar, and dancer-actor Nora Fatehi. The show was presented by comedian Maniesh Paul.
Even as the contenders gave their best performances, 'Bhediya' cast mates Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon emerged as star guests during the finale. Kriti and Madhuri both danced to the 'Lajja' song 'Badi Mushkil,' and Salman Khan, who is hosting 'Bigg Boss 16', recreated a moment with Madhuri from their legendary film 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun...!' The top five contenders were seen competing against them other: Rubina Dilaik, Faisal Shaikh, Nishant Bhat, Gunjan Sinha, and Sriti Jha. Sriti and Nishant were ousted following the double elimination. As a result, the battle was reduced to the top three competitors — Gunjan, Faisal, and Rubina — and Gunjan was eventually voted the victor by the judges.
Gunjan, who has appeared on other dance reality series such as 'Dance Deewane Juniors,' acknowledged her pleasure, saying: "I learned a lot from the show. Many memories and moments will stay with me. Tejas Verma, my companion, and choreographer Sagar Bora continued inspiring me to do better." "I learned a lot from the judges," she added, "and Madhuri ma'am has always been my idol when it comes to dancing." Gunjan also stated that hip-hop has been her favourite dance form since the beginning and that she has been passionate about dancing since the age of five. She now wishes to pursue a career in dance.
