In an attack on a police squad in Rithoj village on Tuesday night, three officers who were traveling in an emergency response vehicle (ERV) close to a private hospital were injured. According to the police, the four accused caused a commotion at the hospital and attempted to run over the officers with their automobile. Even the officials were beaten by them with sticks and iron rods. The police added that a FIR has been filed at the Bhondsi police station.
Police Constables Mohit, Deepak, and Head Constable Anil Kumar were on ERV 235 when they were injured. They were admitted to Medanta Hospital. The top constable reportedly has a critical condition.
Sandeep and Manish, two Rithoj village residents, have been named as two of the four suspects. Sub-Inspector Mukesh Kumar, Additional SHO of the Bhondsi police station, stated that raids are being conducted to apprehend the evading criminals.
