HISTORY: Goździewska the youngest nurse of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising

Róża Maria Goździewska was the youngest Polish nurse of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising at the age of 8. Who also known as Goździewska.

Goździewska was helping in the hospital work at 11 Moniuszki Street in Warsaw. Her little distribution in helping hands for the nurses working in Warsaw by giving water to the patients and making them smile, and chasing the flies away. That field hospital was associated with the Polish insurgents’ Home Army Koszta Company unit. Her relative, Jadwiga Obretenny, 19 years old at the time, was also a nurse in the Uprising.

The Photo Of Goździewska

The photo here where she has been seen wearing a Red Cross armband was taken in early August 1944 by Eugeniusz Lokajski who was a Polish athlete, gymnast, and photographer a Home Army resistance fighter, who would perish a month later on September 25, 1944.

His amazing photography has been captured in this astonishing picture of the youngest nurse in Warsaw, Poland.
