A human foetus was discovered wrapped and nestled inside a cardboard box this morning by locals in Rangajan Bazar in the Golaghat district of Assam. Among the inhabitants and residents of the nearby villages, the occurrence has caused quite a commotion. Reports claim that at around 3 in the morning, the unborn child was discovered abandoned near the side of the road, tucked inside a cardboard box.
Locals claim that a tea garden worker who frequently visited the clinic and complained of stomach aches may have given birth to the foetus, which she may have left by the side of the road because it was the outcome of an unintended pregnancy. The event is being investigated once the cops show up at the scene.
An inquiry into the incident is underway when the police show up at the scene.
