India is among the countries that extend an assisting to Madagascar by providing 5000 tonnes of rice to an Indian Ocean neighbor. The consignment carrying 5000 tonnes of rice from India will reach Madagascar’s Tamatave port by 13th August.
“15,000 bicycles from India arrive in Madagascar, 5000 tonnes of rice on the way as humanitarian assistance”, India’s diplomat to Madagascar Ambassador Abhay Kumar said.
US government as well supports Madagascar in providing health care services through USAID Madagascar partners with the United Nations World Food Programme to distribute Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food (RUSF) rations to those who need it most in southern Madagascar.
