Newly Inaugurated Bundkand Expressway Developed Deep Potholes Due To Heavy Rain
A portion of the newly inaugurated Bundelkhand Expressway in Uttar Pradesh has developed deep potholes due to heavy rains, within a week of Prime Minister Narendra Modi launching the 296-km-long stretch of road.
The destruction of the newly constructed road appeared 11 km away from Chiriya Salempur toll plaza in the Jalaun district. The ₹14,850 crores worth project which covers 296 km was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on July 16.
The expressway passes through seven districts of Uttar Pradesh, Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawa.
On this matter, Varun Gandhi, the Pilibhit MP give his opinion that a cost of 15 thousand crores cannot “withstand even 5 days of rain”. And urged to take strict action against those responsible.
